You might have encountered this challenge as well: when starting to learn a new language or terminology related to a new profession, you come across unfamiliar or familiar words and phrases in various resources whose meanings you don’t know or have forgotten. In such situations, you might think how useful it would be to have a tool for saving these new words and phrases in a way that allows you to add tags for categorization. Moreover, it would be even better if this tool could work both offline and online and provide various assessments to help you learn and remember these words effectively.
This need has been the motivation behind creating the software before you.
In this software, we have aimed to provide users with features and methods that make it easy to categorize their words or phrases. For this purpose, two methods—Profile and Tag—have been implemented to organize words or phrases. To better illustrate this concept, the following image presents a simplified and understandable view of the data structure used in the software.
Evaluation methods in this software are performed in two ways. The first method is the Leitner Box, a scientifically proven method, and the second method is Guess from Meaning, which is a random evaluation (non-scientific and added based on the software designer's needs for self-assessment).
Currently, the software is available in both an Android version and a website. The major difference between these two versions is the ability to import Excel files, which is only available on the website. The software supports synchronization (sync) of information between the Android version and the website, allowing users to easily transfer their words and phrases between their computer and Android app.
Creating an account on the website is not mandatory; however, by doing so, you can ensure that even if the app is deleted, your data will still be stored on the website.
To use the software, it is recommended that you first read the "How It Works" section to understand its functionality and then proceed with installation and use. All sections of the software are displayed with images to help you understand them better.
Final Note:
Every effort has been made to ensure the software functions smoothly. However, as the entire development process has been carried out by a single person, some issues may occur. If you encounter any errors or problems, please report them. Additionally, an effort has been made to design a user-friendly interface, but due to the scope of the work, improvements to the user interface have been left for future versions based on user feedback.
I hope this tool helps you in your learning journey and in achieving your goals.
